1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using pdftoword.in (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

pdftoword.in provides a free, web-based tool that converts PDF documents into Microsoft Word (.docx) format. The Service is provided "as is" and is subject to change or discontinuation at any time.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Upload files that contain illegal content, including but not limited to content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Use the Service to process classified, confidential, or sensitive personal data unless you have appropriate rights to do so
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our systems
• Use automated tools to send large volumes of conversion requests
• Misrepresent the origin of uploaded files

4. Your Content and Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of the PDF files you upload and the converted Word files you download. By uploading a file, you grant pdftoword.in a limited, temporary, royalty-free license solely to process your file for the purpose of conversion. This license expires when your files are deleted (within 1 hour of upload).

You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to upload and convert the files you submit to the Service.

5. File Deletion

All uploaded PDF files and generated Word files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 1 hour of upload. We do not retain backups of your files. You are responsible for downloading your converted file before it is deleted.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that conversions will be perfectly accurate.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, pdftoword.in shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data or loss of profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
